Head and Neck Cancer (HNC) is the sixth most prevalent cancer worldwide attributed to etiological factors like tobacco and alcohol consumption, HPV infections and to a certain extent genetic predisposition (1–3). Despite advancements in diagnostic and therapeutic regime, the overall survival of HNC patients has remained dismal for over four decades.
